Dreamsky is made by Horus Teknoloji ve Dijital Hizmetler A.Ş. ("Horus Studios", "we", "us"), Altıntepe Mh. İstasyon Yolu Sk. No:3/1, Maltepe, İstanbul, Türkiye. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Dreamsky was previously published under the names Zenit and Rootline; it is the same app, and this policy replaces the earlier ones.
1. The short version
- Your birth chart is cast on your phone. Your birth date, birth time and birth place are kept on your phone and are not sent to our servers.
- There is no account. No email, no password, no sign-in. The app uses an anonymous identifier created on first launch.
- Your dreams, notes, letters and people are kept on your phone. We do not store the text of your dreams on our servers.
- Written readings are produced by a third-party AI, through our server and our AI provider Eachlabs, and only after you agree on a screen that says what is sent. You can withdraw that agreement at any time.
- No advertising, no analytics SDK, no tracking. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.
- You can delete what the app keeps from Settings, and section 9 says exactly what that button removes and what it does not.
2. What the app keeps on your phone
All of this is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage:
- Your chart and the charts of people you add: the name you type (optional; it is a label and can be left blank), birth date, birth time (optional), and birth place (optional: the place name, its country code, latitude, longitude and time zone).
- Your journal: dreams and notes as you typed or dictated them, the mood and symbols you picked, and the readings written for them.
- Letters you write to open on a later date.
- Written readings that were delivered to you (your day, your week, your chart report, readings for other people and two-chart comparisons), and the shared daily and weekly sky texts.
- Copies of readings read aloud (audio files), so a replay needs no network.
- Your settings: language, appearance, reminder times, the dates you marked for your streak, your answer to the AI consent question, and small counters the app uses to decide when it may show the one-time offer or the system's rating question.
- The anonymous session that lets the app talk to our server. On iPhone it is kept in the Keychain on this device only, which means it can survive deleting and reinstalling the app; "Delete everything" removes it.
The home-screen widget and the Live Activity read a small file the app writes for them on the same phone. Reminders are scheduled on the phone (see section 7).
On Android, the app's files are excluded from Android's cloud backup. On iPhone, if you back up your phone to iCloud or to a computer, the app's files on the phone are included in that backup under Apple's terms.
Permissions. The only permission Dreamsky asks for is the microphone, and only when you choose to speak a dream instead of typing it. It also asks whether it may send notifications, and only when you turn reminders on. Dreamsky does not use the camera, your photos, your location, your contacts or health data.
The app reads the phone's tilt (motion sensor) to move the background
gently as you turn the phone. This stays on the phone and is not stored.
Sky Sound is generated on the phone.
3. What reaches our server, and what it keeps
Our backend runs on Supabase, in the EU (Frankfurt, AWS eu-central-1). Every connection is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
The anonymous identity. On first launch the app asks Supabase for an
anonymous session. Supabase creates a random identifier and records when it was
created and last used. Like any web server, it also sees and records the
IP address and the device and app version (the "user agent") of each
session. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, phone number or
Apple or Google account.
What our server stores about you, all keyed to that anonymous identifier:
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| The anonymous sign-in record (identifier, dates, session IP address and user agent) | So the app can use our server | No automatic expiry at present |
| One row per paid reading: a reading identifier, the kind of reading (dream, day, chart report or comparison), the week it was taken in and the time | To count the seven readings a week included with a subscription, and the single readings you bought and spent | No automatic expiry at present |
| For a dream reading, a one-way fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of the dream text, stored with that row | So a paid reading cannot be reused for a different dream. The text cannot be read back from it | Same as the row |
| Your subscription state (until when it is active, which plan) and one row per single reading bought | So the server can check a purchase before writing a paid reading | As long as needed to honor your purchases; no automatic expiry at present |
| The purchase notices Adapty sends us, as Adapty sends them (see section 5) | To keep the subscription state correct, and for support and refunds | No automatic expiry at present |
| Audio of readings you asked to hear ("Listen"), as MP3 files in a private storage bucket, in a folder named after your anonymous identifier | So a reading is turned into speech only once | No automatic expiry at present — see section 9 |
What our server does not store: your birth date, time or place; your chart; the names you give charts; the text of your dreams or notes; your recordings; the transcripts; or the written readings. These pass through our server functions to produce a result and are not written to our database or storage. The one exception is the audio of a reading you asked to hear, above.
Our server functions write short technical logs (for example, that a request failed). These are kept by Supabase for a short period set by its service.
4. What leaves your phone, feature by feature
4.1 Features that send nothing about you
The chart, the four-area analysis (Work · Love · Family · Health) the app composes, the current sky, the alignments, the calendar, the sign horoscopes composed on the phone, letters, reminders, the widget and Sky Sound are all computed on your phone.
The shared sky texts (the written analysis of the day's and the week's sky, and the twelve sign horoscopes) are the same for every reader. To get one, the app sends only the date, whether it is the day or the week, and your language. They are written once per day, week and language and kept on our server for everyone. No consent question is asked for these, because nothing about you is in the request.
4.2 Finding a birth place
When you search for a birth place, what you type goes to your phone's own map service: Apple Maps on iPhone, or the Android geocoder (usually provided by Google) on Android. When the result has no time zone, the app sends the place's latitude and longitude to our server, which looks up the time zone in a table built into the function and returns it. Nothing is kept.
4.3 Written readings, dream readings, spoken dreams and Listen (AI)
These are the features that use a third-party AI. They ask first. Before the first one, a screen explains what is sent and names the company that runs the model. If you choose "Not now", nothing is sent, and the rest of the app keeps working. The same answer covers all four features below, and you can change it at any time in You → Settings → "Your chart, read by a model".
Your day, your week, your chart report, readings for other people, and the two-chart comparison (People). The app sends our server:
- the name typed on the chart, if any (and, for a comparison, the other person's name, if any);
- the chart's positions: for each planet and point, its sign, degree and house, plus the Sun, Moon and Rising signs and the chart's dominant element and modality; for a comparison, the same for the other chart and a compatibility score the phone computed;
- the aspects the phone computed, today's sky placed in the chart's houses, and, for the chart report, your age in years, the house cusps, and the dates planets entered and leave your houses;
- the matrix rows the phone composed, so the writing follows the same analysis you see on screen; for your day, the headlines of up to four previous days, so the new one does not repeat them;
- your language, and, for a paid reading, a reading identifier and which allowance pays for it.
It does not send your birth date, birth time, birth place or coordinates. Note that chart positions are calculated from a birth moment, so someone who knows astronomy could work back from them to an approximate date of birth.
A dream reading. Sends the dream as you typed it or as it was transcribed (up to 6,000 characters), your language, and, if you have a chart, your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. Nothing else from your chart.
A spoken dream. The phone records you while you describe the dream (up to four minutes, in a temporary file). As soon as you stop, the recording is read into memory and the file is deleted from the phone. The audio is sent to our server and passed straight to Eachlabs to be turned into text by a speech-to-text model (Deepgram Nova-3, run through Eachlabs). The text comes back to your phone, where you can read and correct it. Our server does not store the recording or the transcript.
Listen (read aloud; subscribers). Sends the text of the written reading you
want to hear, its identifier and your language. Our server sends the text to
ElevenLabs, which turns it into speech, and stores the resulting audio as
described in section 3 so the same reading is not sent twice. A copy is also
kept on your phone.
Who receives it.
- Eachlabs (each::sense) runs the language model that writes the readings
and the speech-to-text model for spoken dreams. Eachlabs passes each request
to the maker of the model it runs, acting on Eachlabs' behalf: at present
Anthropic (a Claude model) for written readings and Deepgram for speech-to-text. We may change the model; the provider receiving your data stays Eachlabs. - ElevenLabs turns a reading's text into speech, for Listen only.
Requests reach these providers from our server, with our own API keys. They do not receive your anonymous identifier, your IP address or any device identifier from us. These providers handle the request under their own terms, which can include keeping a record of it for a limited time (for example for billing, security and troubleshooting). We do not use what you send to train AI models, and we send it to these providers only to produce the result you asked for.
Withdrawing consent. Turn off "Your chart, read by a model" in Settings. From that moment the app sends nothing more to these providers. Readings already delivered stay on your phone until you delete them.
About the readings. They are interpretations written by an AI from the positions and words you give it. They are not statements of fact and are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. The Health area is about general wellbeing (energy, rest, routine, pace) only. See the Terms of Use.
4.4 Purchases
Purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which handle payment; we never see your card details. The app uses Adapty to read your purchases and subscription status (see section 5).
4.5 Sharing, invitations and the rating question
- Inviting someone to compare charts. The invitation link the app makes contains your chart's name, birth date, birth time (if set), birth place name, rounded coordinates (to about 100 m) and time zone, so the other person's phone can cast your chart. It is sent only where you choose, through your phone's share sheet, and never through our server. Only send it to people you want to have these details. When you open an invitation, the other person's details are saved on your phone only.
- Sharing a card. An image of what is on screen is made on your phone and passed to the app you pick in the share sheet.
- The rating question is the system's own (Apple's or Google's) review sheet. We do not receive anything from it.
5. Service providers
We use these companies to run Dreamsky. They act on our instructions (as processors) or under their own terms where stated. We do not share your data with anyone else.
| Provider | What for | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase (database, storage, server functions; EU, Frankfurt) | Our backend | Everything in section 3, and the requests in section 4 as they pass through |
| Eachlabs (each::sense) and the model makers it uses (at present Anthropic and Deepgram) | Writing readings; turning spoken dreams into text | The content in section 4.3, only with your consent |
| ElevenLabs | Reading a reading aloud (Listen) | The reading's text, only with your consent |
| Adapty | Purchases and subscription status | See below |
| Apple / Google | App distribution, payment, place search, the rating sheet | Under their own terms and privacy policies |
Adapty. The Adapty SDK in the app reports your purchases and subscription status to Adapty, and links them to the app's anonymous identifier so a purchase can be restored. Adapty receives your purchase and subscription history from Apple or Google, an identifier for the installation (on iPhone, Apple's identifier for vendor, which is not the advertising identifier), technical details of the device (model, system version, app version, language and region), your IP address, and the times a subscription screen was shown. On Android, Adapty's SDK also reads Google Play's install referrer (which store link the app was installed from). We see this as purchase records and as counts of how often each offer is shown and bought. Adapty sends us purchase notices (which product, the store's transaction identifiers, dates, price and currency, store country, and the identifiers Adapty keeps for the installation), which we keep as described in section 3. We do not use Adapty to send your data to advertising or attribution networks.
International transfers. Supabase stores our data in the EU. Some of the other providers process data in other countries, including the United States. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards in their data-processing terms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Tracking and advertising
There is none. Dreamsky contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no attribution SDK. The app's only third-party SDK is Adapty, for purchases. The app never asks for permission to track you, so the advertising identifier is not available to it on iPhone, and the Android build removes the advertising-ID permission. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
7. Notifications
Reminders (for example a morning prompt to write down the night, a golden hour, a New or Full Moon, an eclipse, a planet turning retrograde, or a letter opening) are scheduled on your phone, and their text is composed on your phone. There is no push-notification service and no notification content leaves your phone. You can turn reminders off in the app or in your phone's settings.
8. Lawful bases (EU, UK and similar laws)
- To provide the app you asked for (the anonymous session, your purchases, the weekly allowance, the shared sky texts, place lookups): performance of our contract with you.
- The AI features in section 4.3: your consent. Because a dream or a note can reveal sensitive things about you, we treat that consent as your explicit consent for that content. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings; withdrawal does not affect what was done before.
- Counting how often offers are shown and bought, keeping the service secure, and handling support and refunds: our legitimate interest in running and improving a paid app, which does not involve tracking or advertising.
- Keeping purchase records where tax or consumer law requires it: legal obligation.
9. Deleting your data
Delete one entry. Deleting a dream or note in the journal removes it and its reading from your phone. An audio copy of that reading, if you listened to it, stays in the app's storage on the phone until you use "Delete everything".
Delete everything. You → Settings → Delete everything removes, from your phone: every chart and person, the journal, letters, all readings and shared sky texts, audio copies, reminders (and their scheduled notifications), the streak, your consent answer and other settings, and the anonymous session itself. The next launch starts as a new anonymous user.
On our server, the same button removes the chart, report and image records that earlier versions of the app kept under your anonymous identifier. If the server cannot be reached, the phone is cleared at once and the server deletion is retried on the next launch.
What the button does not currently remove from our server: the anonymous sign-in record, the reading-count rows and their fingerprints, your purchase records and purchase notices, and the audio of readings you asked to hear. After deletion these are tied only to an anonymous identifier that no phone holds any more. To have them removed, write to hello@horusstudios.com. If you bought a subscription or a reading, include the order number from your Apple or Google receipt: that is how we can find your records, since we do not know who you are. If you never bought anything, the only record left is the anonymous sign-in record, which contains no content and which we cannot match to you.
Anything sent to Eachlabs or ElevenLabs is handled under their terms (section 4.3). Deleting the app from your phone removes what it kept on the phone, except that on iPhone the anonymous session can remain in the Keychain; use "Delete everything" first if you want a fresh start.
Cancelling a subscription is done in your Apple or Google account, not in the app, and deleting the app or your data does not cancel it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU and UK GDPR and Türkiye's
KVKK), you have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or
deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable form, and
withdraw consent at any time. Most of your data is on your phone and under your
control already. For anything on our server, write to
hello@horusstudios.com; because there is no account, include your store
order number if you have one, as described in section 9. We answer within one
month.
You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the EU, the authority where you live or work; in the UK, the ICO; in Türkiye, the KVKK Authority).
11. Children
Dreamsky is rated 9+ on the App Store for its content, but it is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you are under 16 (or under the age at which you can consent to online services where you live), ask a parent or guardian before turning on the AI features in section 4.3. If you believe a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Security
All traffic between the app and our server, and between our server and our providers, is encrypted in transit. Server records can be read only by the anonymous identity they belong to, by our server functions, and by our team when handling a support or deletion request; the audio bucket is private. Our API keys for the AI providers are kept on the server and are never in the app.
13. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your phone or who receives it, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
