Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Briefing AI mobile and desktop apps, our website pages that describe the product, and the backend services that power personalization, AI features, notifications, and subscriptions.

The data controller for Briefing AI is Horus Studios. For any privacy question or request you can reach us at hello@horusstudios.com.

Account and contact information

• First and last name
• Sign-in and account email address
• A separate contact email if you choose to provide one
• Basic identity and profile fields shared by Apple, Google, LinkedIn or X when you sign in with those providers
• The user and account identifiers generated by Supabase

Briefing AI never sees or stores the passwords you use with sign-in providers.

Profile and career information

• Profile photo, date of birth, city and short bio (all optional)
• Industry, role or title, expertise and interests
• Content language, daily learning time and digest / notification schedule
• Personalization preferences and the generated career persona

Your name, role, industry, bio, email domain and limited profile signals from connected accounts may be sent to our AI provider so we can build your career persona and personalized recommendations.

User content

• Comments and feedback or reports about content
• Reading list names and the publications, RSS feeds, podcasts, videos and social sources you add
• Messages you write in AI chat and in the finance / market chat
• Free-text fields such as your bio

Comments and profile information that you choose to make public may be visible to other users. Your contact email is only shown when you enable that visibility option.

Usage and interaction data

• Content you read or listen to, and how long you spend on it
• Cards seen, saved, favorited or voted on
• Sources you follow or mute
• Daily digest and learning activity
• Feature usage and quota records
• Interactions with paywalls and the purchase flow

We use this data to build your personalized feed, improve recommendations, show your reading history, track learning progress and improve the product.

Connected social accounts and your X follow list

• We only access your X account if you explicitly connect it
• Your X bio may be imported if your Briefing bio is empty
• Your X follow list is displayed temporarily so you can pick sources; the full list is not stored permanently
• Only the accounts you actively add as sources are saved
• You can disconnect X at any time

Device and identifiers

• Expo push token
• Platform, operating system, app version and device model
• Language, locale and time zone
• Adapty user, profile and installation identifiers
• IDFV, and IDFA where available and permitted
• IP address and the approximate country derived from it

Briefing AI does not collect precise GPS or fine-grained location. The city in your profile is the only approximate location and is provided by you. These identifiers are used for push notifications, subscription validation, entitlement checks, security and technical operation, not for advertising targeting.

Purchase and subscription data

• Premium plan, subscription status, start, renewal and expiration
• Product identifier, transaction and purchase history
• Trial, cancellation, refund and renewal state
• Transaction references from Adapty and the app stores

Payment card numbers, CVV and bank account details never reach Horus Studios. Payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play.

Diagnostics and performance

• Crash reports and error stack traces
• Launch and response times, freezes and other performance issues
• Operating system, device model and app version
• Limited technical event logs leading up to an error

In the current configuration your name, email or Briefing user id are not intentionally sent to the Sentry user profile.

Search data

Content and market searches may be sent to our servers to produce results but are not persisted as a separate user search history. Questions you write in AI chat or finance chat may be kept as part of the chat history.

• Content text, AI chat messages, translation and narration requests may be processed by fal.ai
• When building your career persona we may process limited professional signals such as name, role, industry, bio, email domain and information from connected sign-in providers
• The finance chat may perform a web search when up-to-date data is required

These operations exist to provide Briefing AI features. Your data is not used for advertising targeting. We do not make unverified promises on behalf of fal.ai or any other provider about whether data is used for model training.

• Apple App Store and Google Play — payments and subscription processing

These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the relevant service. Briefing AI does not sell personal data, does not share it with data brokers, and does not use it for third-party advertising.

• Briefing AI shows no third-party advertising
• We do not perform behavioral ad targeting
• We do not combine your data with data from other companies' apps or websites for advertising
• We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising
• Adapty processes device and purchase identifiers for subscription management and product analytics

If our data practices change in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request the necessary permissions.

• Notification permission is used only for digest and product notifications
• Photo library permission is only requested if you choose a profile photo
• X access is only used if you connect your account
• Briefing AI does not use precise location, microphone or contacts permissions
• You can turn off notifications from your system settings
• You control the visibility of your profile and contact email

• Account, profile, user content and personalization data are retained while your account is active
• Push tokens are removed when they become invalid or when your account is deleted
• Crash and performance logs are kept for a limited period for diagnostics
• Purchase records may be kept longer to meet legal, tax, fraud-prevention and app-store requirements
• Backups and security logs may persist for a limited time after deletion

You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account permanently. You can also send access, correction, data-copy or deletion requests to hello@horusstudios.com.

Depending on the applicable law (including GDPR and KVKK), you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of your data
• Restrict processing
• Object to processing
• Withdraw a previously given consent
• Lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority

California residents

• The right to know, correct and delete personal information
• The right to opt out of sale or sharing
• Briefing AI does not sell personal data and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising
• You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

Our service providers may operate in different countries, and your data may be transferred to other countries under the appropriate data-processing arrangements.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Briefing AI is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact hello@horusstudios.com.

We will announce material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, when necessary, with an in-app notice.
